Apparently Tim Gunn does not think that Hillary Clinton is making it work.
In a recent appearance on Lopez Tonight, the Project Runway star had some harsh words for the Secretary of State's style. Calling her look "Jersey Shore style," Gunn questioned Clinton's fashion choices.
"Why must she dress that way?" the style guru asked host George Lopez. "I think she's confused about her gender -- all these big, baggy menswear tailored pantsuits."
When the audience laughed, Gunn told them, "No, I'm really serious. (They're) unflattering."
Lopez took the opportunity to diss the former first lady as well, asking Gunn what would be the best way to hide Clinton's "cankles." To which Gunn replied, "Well, if her pants didn't stop an inch above her ankle, she could hide the cankle!"
Ouch!
But, as disappointed as Gunn is about Clinton's style administration, he is a supporter of her political career.
"I have great respect for her intellect and her tenacity and for what she does four our country in her governmental role," he said. "I just wish she could send a stronger message about American fashion."
