I know several people who are sitting with their cash due to the uncertainty of the stock market and economy in general. Also, I have talked to a few that have said now is NOT the time to be buying US Treasury bonds which are taxable and yielding a very low interest.
There seems to be great interest in the purchase of tax free municipal bonds in all 50 states that are yielding up to 5% interest.
Any readers here familiar with them? The upside/ the downside and any other information? I have never purchased them before.
Many thanks.
